But it took Phil only a few hours on Monday to find another company willing to approve the billboard, even after Phil explained that another company had turned him down.
As for the name of that company, location of the billboard, and the date of its unveiling, Phil has asked us to hold that information back to prevent any outside interference. As soon as we can share more of those details, you’ll be hearing about them here at the Underground Bunker.
Fornuftig! Fører kanskje til at CoS ringer til absolutt alle selskaper som driver med skilt, hehe.
Yesterday we took this photo of the current billboard standing on Hollywood Boulevard just east of La Brea Avenue, which features a message from the Air Force Reserve. But not for long. On March 22, Phil and Willie Jones want you to be there as they officially unveil their Scientology ‘disconnection’ billboard at this location, which happens to be only a block west of where Scientology leader David Miscavige lives and works in Los Angeles.
“We are going to put up a billboard on Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles to make people more aware of Scientology Disconnection, as well as hopefully entice those in Scientology to take that step of calling their loved ones, family, friends, or whoever they have disconnected from due to pressure from the Church of Scientology,” he wrote on their gofundme page.
Karin Pouw, spokesperson for the church, said the billboard was little more than a publicity stunt by fame-hungry people, and accused the Joneses of “promoting hate and bigotry”.
“It is shameful that two parents desperate for fame would hook up with a reality TV producer to shamelessly exploit their two adult children over their choice of faith,” she told The Telegraph.
“It is equally despicable that these individuals would use a private family matter to promote hate and bigotry.”
Det er alltid vakkert når organisasjonen kaller seg religiøs med den ene hånda og avslører så ettertrykkelig hvor lite religiøse de er med den andre.
Phil says that the intimidation attempt isn’t working, and that Regency is still in his corner. But we thought you might like to know about Mr. Dennis Holt, who is one of Scientology’s enablers.
“Dennis Holt of US International Media, who explained that he is the media buyer for the church”
Actually, according to their website Mr Holt is the “Founder and Chief Executive Officer”, which indicates that Scn is a MAJOR if not the TOP client of US Intl Media (otherwise he wouldn’t concern himself with lowly tasks like calling some provider over one billboard - he has people working for him who’d normally do that).
Interesting quote from Mr Holt’s bio:
He co-founded Ad Relief of Greater Los Angeles (formerly Advertising Industry Emergency Fund), a charitable organization that supports advertising people facing tough times.
You literally couldn’t make that shit up smh
Also, the jokes are practically writing themselves: According to their website, US Intl Media is “The Fastest Growing Media Service Agency”: http://www.usintlmedia.com/
Another billboard company has caved from the pressure applied by the Church of Scientology. Phil Jones learned this afternoon that Regency Outdoor Advertising, which had planned to put up Phil’s billboard this weekend for Tuesday’s unveiling, has now cancelled on him.
